About Deborah
Deborah Lancaster, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Lic#1028
M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy with a Specialization in Christian Sex Therapy
From the time I was in high school, I felt called to the profession of counseling and I have been pursuing that dream ever since. My passion for walking with people through the valleys of life and being a witness to their growth, empowerment and healing has only grown stronger through the years. I graduated Covenant College with my Bachelors in Psychology and received my Masters from Richmont Graduate University in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Christian Sex Therapy. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to walk with people both in the private practice arena, as well as working with more acute issues in an inpatient behavioral health hospital.
I believe strongly in therapy and in the healing and restorative power of relationship. I operate from a Christian worldview and while my faith influences my perspective and provides the energy for my work, I am eager to meet each individual where they are and respect their decision on whether or not they choose to incorporate faith and spirituality into their journey.
I grew up in New Mexico, and still have a thing for the sunshine, big skies and big country where I was raised, but have loved exploring and making a home with my husband and children in the gorgeous Chattanooga area.
